New here?

I am unsure whether I am bi+. Can I contact you anyway?

Many queer journeys have begun with uncertainty. Our services, including free counselling and meet-ups, are open to all bi+ people, those who are not yet sure, and their partners and relatives.

I'm afraid of being discriminated against when I come out. How can I deal with it?

Our community meetings provide the perfect opportunity to share your concerns about coming out as bi+. Many of our attendees have experienced this themselves. Here, you can talk about it with others in a safe environment. If you require more specific support, you can contact our Bi+ competence centre to arrange a free consultation.

As a bisexual person, I often don't feel welcome in the queer community. Can I turn to you about this?

Unfortunately, many bi+ people share this experience. This is one of the reasons why the BiBerlin e.V. association and its various programmes exist. You are very welcome to attend one of our community meetings or arrange a free counselling session if you have any specific concerns.

Can I come to a meeting even if I've never been to a Bi+ meeting before?

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome, and new people join us regularly. We’ve all been newcomers at some point. This could be the moment when you realise for the first time that you might be bi+, or the first time you talk to someone about it. Anyone who wants to talk to others about being bi+, get to know people, and feel at home in a community is welcome to come to us. If new people come to our meetings, the team is always on hand!

For relatives and partners

My partner has come out as bi+. Can I get in touch with you?

Definitely! All our programmes are open to relatives and partners of bi+ people, too. We have two formats in particular that could be of interest to you. Every two months, we hold a moderated meeting for bi+ individuals and their partners in heterosexual relationships. You can attend alone or with your partner. You can find the dates here. If you are experiencing specific difficulties, you can also contact our Bi+ competence centre.

I am the parent of a bi+ child or young person and am looking for support. May I turn to you for help?

You are welcome to contact our Bi+ competence centre. As we do not currently specialise in supporting families with children and young people, our Bi+ competence centre will refer you to other suitable organisations if necessary.

Inclusion

Are your services accessible, and where can I find more detailed information?

We are working to remove barriers to accessing our services and events. Our office, which houses our Bi+ competence centre, is wheelchair accessible and equipped with a disabled toilet. We make sure that the rooms at our community meetings are as barrier-free as possible, and provide more detailed information on this under the respective event.

Is there information about Bi+ in different languages?

We have a short summary about bisexuality in English, Spanish and Russian.

Can I speak English at your meet-ups?

Our meet-ups are usually in German, but English is often used as an additional language. There is always someone who speaks English at the meet-ups. Since 2025, there has also been an international and English-speaking meet-up. Check our event calendar for the dates.

If I experience discrimination at a BiBerlin meet-up or event, who can I turn to?

It is important to us to create a space that is as free of discrimination as possible. We have therefore developed awareness rules for our meet-ups. If you need assistance at a meet-up, please approach one of the community hosts present. If you would like to get in touch afterwards, you can email us and we will respond. Your feedback is important to help us continue to develop and increase our awareness.
