In 2022, BiBerlin e.V. began tracing the modern history of Bi+ life in Berlin. This journey spans from the early writings on bisexuality by Johanna Elberskirchen and Magnus Hirschfeld in the 1920s, to the founding of the Bi+ discussion group at Sonntagsclub in 1988, and leads up to the establishment of the Bi+ Competence Center in 2024.
In conversation with contemporary witnesses, BiBerlin e.V. presents key milestones, personal stories, and the broader social context that have shaped Bi+ history in Berlin over the past century.
This event is part of Magnus Hirschfeld Day and is organized by the District Office Treptow-Köpenick in cooperation with the Bi+ Support Center / BiBerlin e.V.
